Upon a time…

Wordish was created by me, Lin Fong. I was one of those rare beings who always knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. When I was 11 or 12, I’d flick through my dad’s Time and National Geographic magazines. I was struck by the awesome power of words and the impact of storytelling. Still am.

  • More than 20 years’ experience

Began my working life as a cadet reporter on a local newspaper while I was still a journalism student. Since then, I’ve worked for many newspapers and magazines owned by News Limited and Fairfax. I’ve also worked on communications teams for top ASX listed companies such as Transurban. And done PR, events management, speech writing, grant submissions and media relations for not-for-profits and government. Most of this in Melbourne. Today I use this depth of skills to deliver copywriting services and brand marketing to creative entrepreneurs.

  • Began freelance writing in Berlin

Nomadic, always have been, travelling in over 52 countries. In 2011, found myself living in Berlin in a locale packed with Turkish shops and cheap warehouses for struggling artists. It was the perfect romantic scenario to launch my own writing studio. That was then. Today, I live mostly between Melbourne and Byron Bay. Oh, and I’m the delighted mother of a school-aged son.

“Lin and I worked together to craft a series of blogs for my start up venture Clik Clik. I needed these articles to be authentic and unique – and Lin certainly delivered. She doesn’t sugar coat things but is warm, creative and a consummate professional.”
